As a member of the Georgia State Defense Force or "State guard," I have served in many disaster areas in 8 years. We have served in flood, tornado, Hurricane, wildfire, and man made disasters all over Georgia.

 

 the best thing you can do for your family before a disaster is to create a plan, practice your plan, and stay informed. The last thing you want for your family is to stay in a shelter. If you plan ahead you can reduce the chaos during and after a disaster.
