Sills and Sill Protection
The sill and bottom sweep form a tight seal against wind-driven moisture infiltration at the bottom of the door and help channel moisture away from the home. The sill pan (recommended) adds an extra layer of protection to help keep moisture away from the subfloor. The optional Composite Adjustable Sill is made from a composite material that won’t rot, warp or split, and is adjustable for an air-tight seal at the door bottom.
Corner Seal Pads
Corner seal pads complete the seal between the sill cap, bottom sweep and weatherstrip to help block potential pathways where wind-driven moisture can infiltrate the bottom corner of the door system. Optional 7-Shape Corner Seal Pads include our patented jamb assembly, featuring the 7-shape corner seal pad which creates an air pocket that helps prevent a vacuum from wicking moisture up the weatherstrip.
Lip-Lite Frame
The lip-lite frame features a compression seal against weather on the outside of the door and an adhesive seal against weather on the outside of the glass.
DuraFrame
Alaskan Yellow Cypress one of the planet's most durable rot and insect resistant woods, which is finger-jointed to the bottom of premium pine frame component. Additionally Alaskan Yellow Cypress will not wick moisture resulting in superior paint and stain adhesion. DURA-FRAME™ is end-sealed with Hydro-Shield™ which prohibits moisture from entering the substrate ensuring longevity of this frame component.
The Primars Install
Primars Contracting uses OSI Elastomeric sealant to weather proof our doors. We countersink 3 inch heavy gauge exterior fasteners to secure the door to the frame of your home. We shim every screw to reduce warping along the frame. if ThermaTru requires 4 screws we use 5 to make 100% sure your door is secure. We custom mortis the strike plates to ensure they are aligned and operate properly. We insulate the wall between the new door and the rough opening. Primars can also rework your siding stucco or interior trim to match your new door. We make sure your door is perfectly level by using a 6 foot level.
Primars uses polybutylene sill tape to build a sill pan for most doors we install.
We specialize in fitting doors in stucco and refurbishing interior trim. don't worry about how your interior trim is going to look, we have you covered.

Pirmars proudly partners with Thermatru entry Doors. This partnership allows us to communicate with the factory, not a 3rd party warranty company, if there is an issue. Primars Contracting matches the ThermaTru lifetime warranty. We have factory representatives and warranty service technicians available through Therma Tru.
